Gabriel Angel of the Resurrection for your Protection

August 23, 2014

GabrielTiffanyIndy

Awake Thou That Sleepest, Arise From the Dead, And Christ Shall Give Thee Light

This beautiful stained glass panel’s quotation in Angel of the Resurrection from 1904, was made by Louis Comfort Tiffany’s Studios of New York City in stained glass and lead, 348” X 168”. It is on display in the Indianapolis Museum of Art as a gift of The First Meridian Heights Presbyterian Church, Indianapolis, Indiana.

Any likeness of Angels that you display in your home’s Sacred Space with Power Feng Shui will bring an energy of Protection to the location. Collecting your Holy Things together in one location only makes the energy stronger for your home.

Print out this Resurrection Angel Gabriel and place it in your own Sacred Space for your own positive energy protection. Displaying Holy Crosses above the front and back doors will also blast an energy of Protection.

All cultures believe in and honor Angels, flying spiritual beings to bring us assistance, love, or blessings from our Higher Power, The Creator God. Angels are always a good gift to share with your loved ones. It makes them know that even when they are not able to be with you, they are wishing for Angels to be there as a source of protection and love from God.

You may find this likeness @ http://www.powerfengshui.info/articles/spiritual_healing/10222.main.shtml on Alex’s EZINES @

Dallas Power Feng Shui Jewelry Bling

August 23, 2014

AlexshawPowerTalks1.

ALEXANDRA SHAW’S GOLDEN COIN NECKLACE SYMBOLICALLY CIRCLES HER IN POWER FENG SHUI PROSPERITY & GOOD HEALTH.

If you desire to change your luck, you must consider your jewelry.

For thousands of years, men & women have adorned themselves with ornaments going all the way back to the bones displayed on the necks of cavemen and women. 6,000 years ago Feng Shui jewelry began with Chinese Imperial Emperors loving their Jade, which they called the Stone of Heaven. It is still extremely lucky to wear today. Bling is not new.

Wearing a necklace, watch or ring is simply encircling yourself with the energies of Gold that will bring you Prosperity & Good Health or if you choose Silver it enhances your Compassion, Mercy, Travel, Friends, Mentors & Helpful People in your life. It works like a charm to manifest quick results.

Go to www.PowerFengShui.info, click on the Articles Link & the lst one, The Feng Shui Power Key has all of the Colors featured there to help you blast your jewels with the desired effect you wish to achieve.

Black lifts Career/Self &Destiny options.

Red makes you more famous, bringing you more recognition & ensures your Future. People remember you when you wear red jewelry.

Purple, my personal favorite blasts the Wealth & Empowerment in your life. Pink is all about Love & Relationships and creating & enhancing them.

Blue brings you Wisdom/Knowledge & Spiritual Enhancement. Blue Holy Icons double this.

Greens will empower you in your Community, that’s at work, in the family, service
organizations, on your block, not just your town or state or country, your charities & whatever communities you associate yourself with. Your children’s schools are also your community.

White is all about Creativity & Children & Intellectual Descendents.

The Icon representation of Crosses, Rosaries, Angels, and even replicas of their wings lifts your Spirituality & draws a Holy Protection Blessing to you. I have a precious friend that is Catholic and visited The Vatican during Pope John Paul’s time and had a Rosary blest for me. I must admit that when I wear it I feel a very different energy and a sense of protection even though I am not Catholic, and will never be. Have your own personal favorite things blest by the Holy leader you follow after in your own personal Spirituality. You will be shocked at the energy shift it has after that.

Shapes are key to “firing up” or “igniting” energies. Pyramids or triangles flash the symbol of a flame, the Fire Element and literally will “Fire Up” energy, the most significant connection being the Egyptian culture of the Pharaohs and all of their Power symbols. These are called Power Draws, believed to draw Power to you, as in the Age of Kings.
Circular shapes are the metal element. A huge percentage of the jewelry, made of metal or glass, sets off the Thought provoking, “Think, think, think” energy, promoting fresh concepts & creativity. If you need to create, circles are your Best Bling Bet for summoning what I call your “Creative Fire Energy.”

The wavy, flowing or undulating shapes, even kidney shapes are all about the Water Element with its renewal of Money and Spirit.

Using Square shapes, symbolic of The Earth Element make you feel much more “grounded” & connected to your life, love, work, body & soul.

Of course anything made from Wood that you choose to wear is all about “Fresh Growth” in your life, new opportunities.

Whatever jewelry color, shape or element of Power Feng Shui you use to adorn yourself with will cause the flow of Ch’i, the Cosmic Breath of God to activate for you.

Feng Shui is all about engaging the 5 senses, Taste, Sight, Touch, Hearing, & Smell. I would recommend that you “fine tune” your ability to “smell” a bargain. Use your own Good Taste, by displaying a world of colors for all to “See”, sending out the highest vibration of color and prompting the “Sound of you” arriving and the memory after your departure, of how good you look and sound.

I encourage you to feel Feng Shuied by your personal statement of bling, overstated or understated, with the impression you wish to leave on your audience. After all life is not a dress rehearsal. It is the real deal… We only do this once.

Your jewelry is your personal statement of your art, intrigue and mystery…
There is not near enough of any of these in life… I encourage you to create some for yourself.

Let me know how that works for you. Write me at iconalex@aol.com. Happy Feng Shui jewelry to you. Remember to make it FUN and it will “Keep The Conversation Lively!!!

9 Candle Emergency Novena Prayers

May 12, 2014

Over 15 years ago a Catholic friend taught me to use this simple prayer ritual. It is very powerful to get help from God for an emergency of any kind, any time, any place.
Light 9 candles. They can be small tea lights or 5-7 day tall Novena candles or any kind. Put them in a metal cake pan for safety from pets or children and place them in the kitchen sink so there will be no danger of simply place them on your Altar. Always watch carefully, extinguishing them if you leave the house and relighting them when you return, to complete the prayer if you must leave.
As you light the 9 candles, focus on exactly what your pure purpose before God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit is, and what you are asking for with your prayer. While the candles are burning, as you go about the activities of your daily life, focus on those pure purposes as they are prompted to your mind.
As you pray, say “God I am one soul, one light, please come here now and help me.” Add anything in prayer that you desire to bring to God. As the candles burn you are basically sending up a signal for emergency help from God, saying, “Come here NOW and help us please.” You do not have to sit idly by for this to happen. Go about your regular activities, but keep your prayer needs in mind.
Remember to give thanks for the help you are about to receive. Watch and wait with hope for your future, KNOWING God is on the job, always, to love and help, bless and protect us.
The 9 Candle Emergency Novena is one of the most powerful to draw the Holy Spirit Power of God immediately, that I have ever seen. You do NOT have to be Catholic to use it.
May God lead and guide you and bring the mercy and help you need to you and your loved ones immediately.
Your prayers for today are your protection for tomorrow and the rest of your life.
Good Luck with your own personal 9 Candle Emergency Novena.

Hermetic Astrology and Numerology

January 24, 2014

Katheren Reizel Did you know that there is a numerology system which, when consciously observed, will help you to make better decisions in day-to-day living? The Hermetic System dates back to The Temple of Luxor, now known as Thebes, in Egypt. Thebes, now a historical district, was considered to be the center of wisdom, art, spirituality and political governance from the 11th (2125-2055) to the 20th (1186-1069) Dynasties.

This system, The Hermetic System, governs spiritual areas, astrology and numerology by utilizing a set of 22 numbers in correlation to the Astrological Signs and Planets in positive accord in your Astrodynes astrology natal chart. These planets and signs represent the vibrations of your actions, thoughts (we call thought forms) and your behaviors. Each number represents action in motion, both positive and negative, in influence.

The positive influences are your personal song notes that vibrate in harmony in your daily encounters. When you participate in an activity that is not in harmony for the particular day, month or year, you may encounter a not-so-positive outcome as attempted on days/months/years that are more appropriate for the activity.

Hermetic numerology helps you to make better choices: when to participate in an activity and/or when to avoid an activity as easily as marking these day/month/year date numbers on your calendar using the numbers from one to nine.

Examples of living activities most affected dramatically by harmonizing are: relationships with your co-workers or close, personal relationships, (dating and marriage), money (when gambling, investment risk, debt, (especially when to borrow money or collect debts is appropriate), building your business, getting publicity, changing professions or interviewing for work, sabbaticals or vacations, travel, house cleaning and clearing away old accumulated possessions.

How Do You Dot Your i’s?

January 14, 2014

Handwriting AnalysisHandwriting analysis reviews penmanship and utilizes every stroke to see within the person. Our handwriting is as unique as a fingerprint. They use our underlying method of writing to pinpoint certain abilities and personality traits.

See what resonates with you and make your judgment. Do you believe it or not?

Now, some of us might cringe at the thought of another reviewing our writing!  We have grown up in different regions with different teachings and influences. Yet, we would not use a style of writing unless it suited us (whether we approve of our penmanship or not).  Take a fun look-see at what graphologists are saying about our writing!

One example might be when we had hand written (kudos!) a special letter to someone. Think about how you addressed their name at the top. Was the font size larger, smaller, or the same as your signature size at the bottom?

  • If your signature was larger: it might mean you feel more important than the person you are addressing
  • If you signature was smaller: it might mean you feel more inferior to that person
  • If your signature is similar in size: Congratulations! It’s important to be cognizant of what psychological message you are sending your recipient.
Here is a thought to chew on — whether or not the example above is true – What would be your thoughts if someone addressed your name small and then oversized their signature?

_____________________________________________________________________________
We sourced http://visual.ly/what-does-your-handwriting-say-about-you to elaborate more on what our handwriting might say about us!

Size:

  • Small: indicates shy or withdrawn
  • Average: indicates well-adjusted or adaptable
  • Large: indicates outgoing, people oriented, outspoken and loves attention

Speed:

  • If you write quickly – You are impatient, dislike delays or time wasters
  • If you write slowly – You are more organized, methodical and self-reliant

Shape of Letters:

  • Rounded letters: indicates you are creative and artistic
  • Pointed letters: indicates you are more aggressive and intense
  • Connected letters: indicates you are logical, systematic and careful decision maker

Pressure of Stroke:

  • Heavy pressure: indicates you are good with commitment and possibly taking things too seriously. If the pressure is excessively heavy, you tend to be uptight and can react quickly to criticism.
  • Light pressure: indicates you are sensitive and show an empathy to people but you also have lack of vitality.

Do You Feel Abundant?

December 7, 2013

“Wear gratitude like a cloak and it will feed every area of your life.”

– Rumi

Do you feel abundant? Do you feel deserving to receive? The month of December emphasizes giving and receiving; the ebb and flow of life. It’s an opportunity for us to flex those gratitude muscles!

If you feel stuck or limited, one of the best ways to open your heart is to feel gratitude. By being thankful for what is around you, you are able to attract more of what you DO want into your life. When you are in a state of gratitude, you are receiving and feeling abundant. Being in a “state” of something means that for periods of time you can shift in and out of this space of beingness.

One of the ways to acquire more gratitude is to be present in the moment. As a result, we will see more detail in our surroundings. Yesterday, I was at Lowes purchasing foam board for my next sculpture project. I felt a physical pressure on my head until I arrived in the proper aisle (my guides did not allow me to be distracted with my favorite painting and organization aisles 🙂 ).

I asked God to enter my situation and deliver me a helpful person. I found my items and proceeded to place my two 8ft foam boards into my vehicle, but there was still 2 1/2 feet that was protruding! To follow safety measures, I waited to the point of impatience to receive a red flag for the back of my car. I was just about to drive away when I heard a voice ask, “do you need some help?” I swiftly said no (denying abundance), but then I reconsidered. It turns out the gentlemen had rope to help me secure the pieces! Yet, if the red flag was delivered any sooner, I might not have received their help. I immediately saw God’s divine timing and became humbled with gratitude.

There was also a moment when I stood in the way of my own abundance. I asked Source to send me a helpful person, yet quickly denied it. This seems so trivial, but how many times do we get in the way of receiving?  Do we feel ashamed that we can’t do it alone? What are some reasons you might be blocking God’s gifts.

We are infinite beings of love and if we choose, we never have to do this alone. We all deserve God’s assistance and can allow him to enter any situation we choose with our free will.

To continue the cycle of receiving, we must be willing to give. The act of giving without guilt or obligation allows us to trust in the infinite supply of the Universe.

  • If we only receive, we might not readily appreciate the gifts we do have.
  • If we only give, we might feel drained and depleted.

“Balance comes from fearlessly giving as you’re guided, and then receiving with joy and gratitude,” Doreen Virtue.  Trust that your needs will always be met and it will be so.

Tips for Giving:

  • Genuinely compliment someone
  • Volunteer for a cause that your heart is connected to
  • Participate in the “Angel Tree” program

Tips for Receiving:

  • Say “Thank you”
  • Accept the kindness of others
  • Ask yourself “What can I learn from this situation?”

Kyanite – Stone Of The Month

September 16, 2013

The name Kyanite is derived from the Greek word Kyanos, literally meaning blue. It is a form of Aluminum Silicate (Al2 SiO5 ) that forms in blade crystals and has a hardness rating between 4.5 to 6.5 on the Mohs Scale.
It is a typically blue silicate mineral, commonly found in aluminum-rich metamorphic pegmatites and/or sedimentary rock. It occurs in various locations around the world, but the best quality of Blue Kyanite is mined in Nepal and Tibet.
Other colors include Indigo (India/Nepal), Green (Pakistan), Black (from Brazil), and Orange (found recently in Tanzania) and more rarely in White, Gray, Pink, and Yellow varieties.
Occasionally it contains enough clean gemmy material to be cut into beads and polished pieces.  Since it falls into the rare polymorphic group – one that displays varying hardness within one specimen – these polished pieces are rather uncommon.  Much like Diamonds, Kyanite has perfect cleavage in one direction, this combined with its varying hardness makes Kyanite quite a challenging gem to cut and polish.
I will concentrate on the most readily available colors.

Orange, Black, Blue, and Green Kyanite

Orange, Black, Blue, and Green Kyanite

Kyanite’s message is one of cleansing and alignment.

All the colors effect the entire system, but they also influence their individual chakras strongly.  They are all well known for their ability to align the chakras and open the energy centers. This occurs without the user needing to direct it by thought.  Just carrying a piece will help bring the energy centers into alignment, but if it is consciously directed, its effects will be greatly magnified.
Additionally, the stone does not accumulate negativity and can be used continually without needing a cleansing period. It is particularly beneficial for recovery from injuries, re-aligning the subtle energies that were disrupted.
Using it at the beginning of a meditation session allows the user to begin with chakras opened and aligned.  It also helps to calm the mind and to achieve the meditative state more easily.

The Blue and Indigo varieties resonate most strongly with the throat and third eye, facilitating the opening of the third eye during spiritual work and the throat chakra for communication of the information gleaned during the session. They are also very beneficial for working with group energies, whether these be in a healing or prayer circle or in a business meeting, kyanite helps the co-creative process flow more smoothly and lessens conflicts.

Black Kyanite resonates strongly with the root chakra.  It deepens our connection to the physical, natural world. It brings power and strength, relieving fears associated with the physical existence here on Earth and shields from psychic attack.
Much like Jet, it offers protection and a retreat, the safety of being hidden from your enemies. It is excellent for acessing childhood memories and helping to relieve the effects of early trauma, facilitating healing form our past.  Additionally, it amplifies grounding energies, supports environmental healing, connecting with those who are pulling pollution out of the earth and assisting the evolution of the planet. It is a fine stone to include in grids to rid areas of negative or malignant energies – like hauntings – since low frequency entities cannot tolerate it.

Green Kyanite focuses on the heart chakra. It helps one to see where another’s “heart” lies or what the truth is when working with others.  Carrying it with you can help when in the company of others of whom you are unsure, by helping you to look within the heart of that person to see their true motives behind any statement or action. It also helps to overcome depression by offering hope and support for the internal adjustment and growth needed to bring about positive physical changes.
It can be used to facilitate communications with the Devic realm and nature spirits.

And lastly, Orange Kyanite resonates with the sacral chakra, bringing its uplifting and optimistic energy to the user.  It encourages us to bring light and high vibrational energies to our creative pursuits and to explore our passion for life. It may also be benificial for those seeking fertility, both physically and spiritually.

Kyanite is a beautiful stone and packs quite a powerful punch in any of its forms.

Divine Healing with Rebecca Hall

September 13, 2013

We are excited to share our interview with Rebecca Hall! She works with crystals to deliver messages of the highest truth. It was beautiful listening to her message about crystals & spiritual guidance. I know you’ll enjoy it too. 🙂

Meet Rebecca

She says the core of her grid at the fair is clear quartz because our bodies have the same vibration. The versatility of the stones are vast! They can pick up past lives and also see what lessons you are presently learning. She recognizes that most people enjoy receiving messages about their family, love life or career. Yet, for these areas to be in harmony – We must have spirtual healing for ourselves. Here is what Rebecca has to say —

“My readings run deeper to create spiritual healing. We can’t get our love life in order until we get our own heart in order. We can’t get our heart in order until we are aligned with the Divine heart. So, if you want your career, family and love life to be healed and perfect, then let’s heal your heart. It has to be healed with getting aligned with your God or Goddess within, and the rest will fall into place.” Saying “I’ll be happy when I get things into place” is backwards. Rebecca says, “Be happy now and it will fall into place.”

Q: What stones would really help people through this transformation?

A: If you want to be on this path, stick to the simple ones — rose quartz, clear quartz, and amethyst. They are the basic three that help with spirtual, physical and emotional.

Thank you, Rebecca Hall for sharing!

Indigo Gabbro – Stone of the Month

August 9, 2013

Indigo Gabbro is a stone that is one of the best facilitators for energy transference.

Gabbro in general is a igneous stone, and the Indigo variety is mined mainly in Madagascar with some material coming from Alaska.  It is formed of silicate [SiO2, or quartz] that is rich in magnesium and iron. It has a chemical equivalent to basalt, but with decidedly different energies.
Indigo Gabbro contains a combination that can include feldspar, chlorite, serpentine, muscovite, pyroxene, hercynite, and magnetite in a charcoal colored matrix; it may also contain small amounts of olivine, chrome garnet, actinolite, and biotite; It can also contain valuable amounts of chromium, nickel, cobalt, gold, silver, platinum, and copper sulfides. The material that I have obtained shows a lovely iridescent sheen across the chocolate colored parts of its surface.

Slab showing crystalline structure of Indigo Gabbro

Indigo Gabbro is said to amplify the energy channeled by various forms of Lightwork such as Reiki, Color Healing, Earth Healing, Gridding etc. This is facilitated by holding a piece of Indigo Gabbro in each hand during the work.  The stone grounds you firmly into the Earth’s “battery” and opens the spiraling gates for both the energies of Heaven and Earth to move through the practitioner into the subject at a greatly accelerated rate.  It further anchors the vibration of intention into the healer/practitioner and the Earth while helping the practitioner move into harmony with their greater or Soul’s purpose.
It seems amplify and adjust the energies of any other stones being used during the treatment.  I particularly like its interaction with selenite, nuummit, and covellite.  I am experimenting with this further as of the writing of this column.
It is said to adjust the energies of “hot” stones such as Moldavite, Phenacite, or Danburyite so that the user may more easily adjust and resonate with the stone, easing the vibrational “oomph” caused by the rapid rise in frequency- all without moving the subject out of balance due to overload.  This is said to allow the subject to more fully access the information of the stone.
It is believed to work to open the Third Eye, facilitating the training of psychic and intuitive abilities and increasing the user’s sensitivity to the “unseen”.  It has been said to facilitate communications with the spiritual realm and with the natural world – plant, mineral, and animal.
It is also said to help clear the aura and remove energy attachments, entities, and implants by the application of the stone to the base of the skull for 15 to 30 minutes while focusing energy on clearing the subject’s physical and etheric bodies.  The stone works to vacuum the energies out of the subject.  Keeping the stone in close  proximity to the body while meditating or sleeping is said to work to maintain the freedom from energy implants, negative entities, and drainers.
The stone should be cleansed after use by placing in a container of salt that is reserved solely for the cleaning of stones and crystals, for at least 24 hours – up to two weeks for really nasty removals.
This has been a very fun stone to research and experiment with, and I look forward to sharing my future findings and the findings of other practitioners with you as the information becomes available.

Opal – October’s Stone Of The Month

October 14, 2012

While both blue and pink Andean Opal, Fire Opal, Ethiopian Opal, and Australian Opal all share the chemical composition of SiO2n(H2O),  currently  the most common material on the market is mainly Australian opal. Note, Ethiopian opal is as flashy as the Aussi material and rapidly gaining a market share in the jewelry trade.
All opal shares a Mohs hardness between 5 and 6, but since it has an amorphous crystalline structure and is very hydrated, it can crack or craze due to sharp temperature changes or dryness.  Rings set with opal should be worn with care because of this.

For many years, the opal suffered rumors and old wives tales about being bad luck. Legends have persisted about this stone, tales designed to discourage those who might otherwise find themselves drawn by its fiery brilliance.   Throughout history, while many stones were prized for their positive magical qualities, others were denounced as vessels of evil. No gem was more vilified than the poor opal. Often associated with scorcery and witchcraft, Medieval Europeans dreaded the opal because of its resemblance to “the Evil Eye,” and its superficial likeness to the optical organs of cats, toads, snakes, and other common creatures with affiliations with witchcraft.  Opals today are still viewed with prejudice in many parts of the world which is unfortunate for such a wonderful, healing stone.  In general, research into opal’s folklore turns up the belief that opal  is a stone of inspiration which can enhance imagination and creativity. It is said to help one release inhibitions and enhance memory. Opal is also a very spiritual stone, and is said to help one be “invisible” in situations where they don’t care to be noticed.
There are a multitude of opal varieties, each with its own nuanced energies.

Boulder Opal (precious opal threaded in an ironstone matrix, most commonly from Australia) is said to do many things for us on the metaphysical level.  It is said to assist us in communication of all forms; verbal, psychic, etc.  Some like to use this stone to assist in communication with their guides, angels, animal guides, nature devas, and other  entities.  Boulder Opal is also a good choice for clearing blocked Chakras, and for strengthening and adding light into the aura.  It produces stability. Boulder Opal is also a very spiritual stone, it has long been used by native people in ceremonies and rights of passage.

Ethiopian Opal increases your psychic abilities for incoming and outgoing questions and answers.  It helps one to discern areas in need of change.  Ethiopian Opal connects the Base Chakra, Heart Chakra, and Crown Chakra, helping balance your Chakras and Aura

Fire Opal, most commonly from Mexico, shares the properties of all opals and also has its own personality and energies. Fire opal brings vitality and a creative energy to endeavors. It also had energies of ability to handle change well and comfortably. Fire Opal is also a stone of sensuality and sexuality, enhancing those energies. It is often used in clairaudience as well.

Blue Peruvian (Andean) Opal is mystically known as a stone of courage and ingenuity. It is said to improve self-esteem and self-love. It is also said to be an aid to creativity and communication of all types. It is reputed to help one find a confidant. Peruvian blue opal is also said to help with stress reduction, fatigue, and weight loss. Crystal healing lore reputes that Peruvian (Andean) blue opal is physically healing for fatigue, chronic fatigue syndrome, metabolic balance issues, iron absorption, dizziness, and brain disorders. Blue Peruvian opal is associated primarily with the throat Chakra.
It is great for stimulating thoughts and communication skills.  Use on the fifth Chakra to voice your opinions in a clear fashion.  It is about freedom of speech!  Some like to use this opal to connect with others.  Peruvian opal is a very creative stone, especially for writers and those who need to get their thoughts down on paper.  Some say this stone balances metabolism and helps those with fatigue.
Pink Andean Opal can be found occasionally.  It is a stone of love and gentleness. It brings energies of gentle love and kindness to both romantic relationships and relationships of other kinds. That said, its energy is not a cottony soft energy, but instead, a vibrant, active energy, like laughter.  It raises the spirits and elevates your mood.  As with other opals, it also brings inspiration, imagination and creativity. It can help release inhibitions and brings happy dreams. It also eases the process of change. Pink Peruvian opal is associated primarily with the heart Chakra.
Opal is a varied and beautiful stone I enjoy working with and would highly recommend.

See you at the fair!

How Does Your Garden Grow?

October 3, 2012

If you have ever planted a garden you know that it needs proper nourishment to grow into beautiful plants. We too need proper nourishment to grow into healthy, vital adults. What often happens is that we get enough nourishment to help our bodies grow, but we don’t provide emotional and spiritual nourishment. As a result we find ourselves stunted emotionally and spiritually. Our inner child is left crying out and hungry.

As adults we may think it’s too late to help that inner child so we continue to neglect that part of us. Because we are ignoring the inner child we are suffering as an adult. Why is that? Our inner child holds those wounds from growing up and some of those wounds have never been cleaned, dressed and cared for. They literally bleed over into our adult lives and until we clean, dress, and allow healing to take place, we continue to suffer along with our inner child.

So how do you provide nourishment to your inner child?

  1. Don’t be afraid to be uncomfortable – When we begin to clean and dress those wounds and address those issues, it can be downright unbearable. If you are not willing to experience those feelings and emotions then you will never nourish your inner child.
  2. Dig deep – In order to find the proper nourishment for your inner child you have to find out what your inner child enjoys. Sometimes digging deep into your childhood is the only way to expose those joys again. Believe it or not, many adults have chunks of missing time in their childhood. Sometimes that is caused by abuse, but whatever the reason you have to spend the time and energy to dig deep.
  3. Schedule time for play – That is easier said than done for many people because your life as an adult can be pretty hectic. That’s why you SCHEDULE play time. Don’t expect it to just happen. You have to make it happen. Once you’ve scheduled the time then do things your inner child wants to do. What did you discover about what gives your inner child joy? Do those things and not the things that you feel people expect you to do. This is not about them. This is about your relationship with that wounded part of yourself.
  4. Stay connected – Don’t think that by spending on hour or even a day nurturing your inner child that you can slack off. Stay connected by making regular dates with your inner child.

You may be asking, “Why is it so important to nourish my inner child?”. Your suffering as an adult is because you have not take the time to nourish and allow your inner child to heal. By taking that responsibility seriously, you will find that your suffering will diminish and your joy will increase.Your sense of well-being will be strengthened and I believe your ability to solve future challenges will be enhanced because you are more in alignment with your whole self.

If you quiet your mind you will hear your inner child crying out. Don’t close the door again.

Grief by Any Other Name is Still Grief

September 20, 2012

I have written about grief before, but I have come to understand that grief does not always have to come from losing a loved one to death. Just today I have been reminded that grief can come from our attachment to the stories that we have written about ourselves and those stories of others.

Let me clarify that. Sometimes we are so attached to the should haves and the could haves in our lives that we find ourselves grieving that we could not have the outcomes that we had desired in our lives. We grieve the fact that we didn’t have the perfect relationship, job, body, etc. We can also grieve the fact that we can’t change those that we love. We can’t save them from heartache and loss. We grieve for them. I’m going through that process now. I’m grieving the fact that no matter how much I have tried, I could not help a loved one escape the heartache. I know they are suffering and there is nothing I can do.

I will be real honest here. It is so much easier to guide someone else through this process than it is to do it for myself. For instance, I know that everyone is on a journey of their own making and we need to honor that. It’s important that we do what we can to support those we love but also set healthy boundaries for ourselves. I also know that regardless of how much support and love we give, it may not be acknowledged. The person we love and support may not be at a place in their journey where they can understand that. They may never be at that point.

It’s our attachment to wanting a certain outcome that causes us to grieve. This is a difficult lesson that I’m trying to learn as I’m sure many of you are too. Let’s support each other through this process and know that it really will be OK, regardless of the outcome.

Meeting Wellness Practitioners at the Fair!

September 8, 2012

As a wellness practitioner, I find that clients fit into the “metaphysical/spiritual” community or the “curious” category. The metaphysical group know exactly what energy techniques you are using, are familiar with the different energy bodies and are sensitive to their needs and what the wellness practitioner is doing. The curious come from a variety of backgrounds and want to know what is happening, or what you do in an “energy balancing.” They have questions and may or may not want to check you out further. Added to these two groups, we now have those who are ready to try anything, they have a myriad of symptoms, and/or are looking for a miracle. Working at the Fair allows the wellness practitioners to meet all of these groups. Since we attract those to whom we can be of service, this can be a time when we put all our skills to work. It is fun to answer questions and it is rewarding to see people shift energetically, feel more relaxed, and take a step toward wholeness and balance. What do you think?

Not All Vampires Sparkle…

September 5, 2012

I know Halloween isn’t until next month but I felt the need to talk about Vampires. I’m not talking about the broody, sparkly vampires of Twilight, but about those vampires that appear in our lives everyday. Those Energy Vampires show up in our lives not to drain us of our blood but of our energy.

Energy Vampires come in all shapes and sizes, but they have one thing in common. They use their stories to take energy from us. Have you been around someone who has drama in their lives constantly? Even a broken fingernail is a reason to plunge them into negativity. There are also those Energy Vampires who are very passive aggressive. They still have an undercurrent of negativity in their lives. Often for them it is the “poor pitiful me”.

You might ask if they are aware that they are Energy Vampires. I can honestly say from my experience that the majority are unaware. Most people are really unaware of their energy or where it is flowing and what it is doing. I think they just recognize that they feel better after talking or engaging with people. Of course, those who they have engaged with feel drained.

We will always come in contact with Energy Vampires. Although a necklace of garlic might keep people away, a true Energy Vampire will still find a way into your energy. How do you handle an Energy Vampire without seeming uncaring. One thing is please do not feed into the Energy Vampires story. If they say their world is coming to an end then simply reply that you are sorry. Don’t add more fuel to the story by asking them to explain more. Change the subject to something more positive. If they won’t let up then you will want to set a boundary. Let them lovingly know that you want to help them focus more on the positive so that you both feel better. Sometimes they may try to pull you into situations that are not yours to deal with. In that case you may want to tell them that you don’t feel comfortable with that and then change the subject or remove yourself. It can all be done lovingly.

Energy Vampires can literally have you feeling anger, frustration, depression, and even physically drained. And it’s not even your issues! We are all at risk of Energy Vampires and we are at risk of being Energy Vampires ourselves. So let’s check how we are interacting with others. Are we draining the energy of those around us or are we encouraging and inspiring those around us? Please note that it is OK to vent and share your positive and your negative stories with those who love you but be aware of how much energy you give to those stories and try to quickly change your perspective about the story. Don’t continually tell the story and not do anything to try and change it to a more positive tale.

Take care of yourself and take care that you don’t become an Energy Vampire yourself!

The Oldest and Strongest Emotion of Mankind…

September 3, 2012

The Oldest and Strongest Emotion of Mankind…

03 Sep 2012 11:40 PM | Anonymous

H.P. Lovecraft said, “The oldest and strongest emotion of mankind is fear”. I truly believe that it is the one emotion that keeps us from achieving our true potential as spiritual and physical beings. It is the emotion that talks us out of experiencing and learning the things in this existence that we came here to do.

Let’s look at what we can do to break those chains of fear that hold us back. I think first we need to become aware of what are fears are? Name them! Once they are named then they can be dealt with appropriately. It really does take some of the power away from the fear. Then let’s look back at where those fears developed and why. Was it from a childhood trauma? Maybe, it was even an experience we had as an adult. When do those fears show up in your life? Are there certain people or situations that trigger it? Search the origin out. After you have named the fear, and found it’s origin then begin to take steps to change. Think of positive steps to break those fears. They don’t have to be huge steps, just small steps will do to start with.

It takes great courage and strength to move pass those fears of a lifetime but we all can do it if we choose to. Stop yourself when you find yourself using negative stories about yourself or others. Make sure you have positive things to focus on like quotes, books, movies, music, etc. Become mindful in your everyday life. Staying in the present makes us stronger! When we think about the past we may have feeling of regret. If we think about the future we may find ourselves becoming anxious. If we are mindful of the present moment then we can feel gratitude, joy, and love.

There is so much fear in the world right now. Why not be a part of the transformation? We can all do our part of transforming the energy on the planet one person at a time.

Carnelian – September’s Stone Of The Month

August 24, 2012

Carnelian is a variety of chalcedony that often shows agate’s banding.  It has a 6.5 to 7 hardness on the Mohs scale, making it a sturdy stone for jewelry use, and it was occasionally used to make marbles in the last century!  It has a chemical composition of SiO2, which places it in the wide-ranging Quartz family of stone.  It is a cryptocrystalline form of silica,  composed of very fine inter-growths of the minerals quartz and morganite.  It is colored by impurities of iron oxide, namely hematite. The color can vary greatly, ranging from pink, pale orange, to an intense almost-black coloration.  When it occurs with black, white, and red bands it is called Sard or Sardonyx.
While the material from  India is regarded as the finest, it is also found in several other places throughout the world including Africa, Australia, Brazil, Madagascar, Russia Uruguay, and the United States.

Carnelian has a long and distinguished history, being one of the 12 stones representing the twelve tribes of Israel set in the breastplate of the Jewish high priest in Biblical times.  During Roman times it was often used make the engraved gems for signet or seal rings for imprinting a seal with wax on correspondence or other important documents.  Hot wax does not stick to carnelian.

In Egypt, it was also highly popular. They believed the stone had great spiritual power, particularly with regard to the afterlife. It was routinely carved into a scarab and placed with the mummified dead because they  thought that it would help to ensure a soul’s passage from the land of the living.

Egyptian Scarab New Kingdom

While widely used in both the East Indian and Pre-Columbian cultures for carving, jewelry, and trading, it is unknown to this author if it had any special metaphysical meaning or association in those cultures.

Metaphysically, Carnelian is said to awaken one’s talents and to produce inspiration from spiritual worlds.  It was believed by the Romans to give the wearer courage in battle and to help timid speakers become eloquent and bold.

Melody states that it enhances analytical abilities and precision.  Protecting against anger, fear, and rage, she says it helps to banish sorrow from the user.  Pink carnelian is noted especially to be effective in fostering love and understanding between parents and children, and between parent and parent.  It fosters compassion while dispelling apathy, indolence, and passivity. The orange variety is said to better focus the mind, especially during meditation.
She goes on to state that Carnelian, when  used with chlorite and ruby crystals in troubled spaces are said to help dispel earthbound spirits and end hauntings!

Others believe this stone represents confidence, boldness, initiative, dramatic abilities, assertiveness and outgoingness.  It encourages celebration and brings awareness of suppressed feelings.  It is said to be an excellent stone for those recovering from childhood neglect.
This stone helps one feel anchored and comfortable with one’s surroundings. Carnelian provides a connection to the past or to historical events. It can improve motivation. This is why is is commonly believed to help one achieve greater success in career or personal matters.
Since it is believed to be a strong energy booster, it is ideal for those who wish to increase their overall vitality during illness.  It is said to stimulate the will to live, help with mental focus and improve appetite.
Its association with the second Chakra also lends it to fertility work, helping to dispel sexual blocks, and it is said to strongly influence the reproductive organs.  Additionally, it is used to help relieve painful menses and stimulate sexual passion.  Not a bad stone to slip between the mattress and box spring!

In  Feng Shui, Carnelian is used in the Center area for harmony and balance, in the South area for success, in the West area for creativity and in the Southeast area for self worth.

In other traditions, placing Carnelian near the front door is said to invoke protection and bring abundance to one’s home.

See you at the fair!

Everything Looks Difficult to the Unwilling

August 22, 2012

Ask yourself if you want to change. Not that there is anything wrong with you but that you want to grow as a person. That requires change. If someone asks you if you want to change, you might immediately say, “YES!”. Yet change is not taking place.

There are at least 3 prerequisites for change. I’m sure there are more, but these are the 3 that I see most often in clients.

1. You must REALLY want to change. Outwardly you may be saying, “Absolutely!”, but on a sub-conscious level there is a block keeping you from achieving change.

2. You must REALLY want to succeed and be happy. Here again sub-consciously you may have a block which most likely is fear. That fear can keep you from achieving that happiness and success.

3. You must TRULY believe that there is a Power within you that is greater than any perceived weakness that you had, have, or will have.

Ask yourself, “Why am I not changing and growing? Why am I not achieving the life I desire?”. After you ask yourself that, spend some quiet time exploring the possibilities and enlist the help of others in that exploration.

Remember that you have that Divine Spark within you! That same Spark that is responsible for all of creation. How can you NOT change and grow if you are truly willing to let go of the fear and other blocks? You are powerful beyond your wildest dreams.

LIVE IT!!
